The Atessiamo Community Cooperative was recently founded, on July 19, 2024 to be precise. Atessiamo, in addition to immediately recalling the union of the two words "I love Atessa" and evoking the belonging of all residents to the Community, "We are Atessa" is an acronym for Hospitality, Tourism, Economy, Flavors, Knowledge, Inclusion, Environment, Mobility, and Organicity. This broad statement of intent reflects the Cooperative's vast potential for intervention. A community cooperative is a model of social innovation where citizens are producers and consumers of goods and services; it is a model that creates synergy and cohesion within a community, systematizing the activities of individual citizens, businesses, associations, and institutions, thus responding to multiple needs. It is a non-profit organization, and all profits from its activities must be reinvested for the good of the community.
